WORTH WATCHING

Watched The Brutalist last night at Cinema Nova

It’s been on my radar for a while but my usual cinema buddies weren’t into seeing it for their various reasons. Most don’t want to watch it because it’s long. It didn’t feel that long while watching. There was a 15min intermission half way through.

I enjoyed it. I found it confronting, surprising and tough. It was a great story.

Loved Adrian Brody who plays the protagonist László Toth. I think they did a great job depicting how hard life can be in a new place for foreigners. You really feel for the characters and really admire them.

Loved the relationship between Toth and his wife Erzsébet Toth (played by Felicoty Jones). Her character was excellent too and quite integral to the story.

I want to learn more about Bauhaus and I want that library.
